The Law of the Measuring Cup

That experience taught me something I now call the Law of the Measuring Cup.

Imagine you're baking a cake. The recipe calls for two cups of flour. You need to get that flour from the container to the mixing bowl.

You have two options:

Use a teaspoon

Use a one-cup measuring cup

Both will get the job done eventually. But the teaspoon takes forever. The measuring cup? Two scoops and you're done.

Same flour. Same bowl. Same goal.

Completely different experience.
